Silicon Staffing Financial Model
We are an e-based organization and we operate differently than a tradition brick and mortar location. To maintain a low overhead, our structure is based upon e-based cloud services which allow us to provide our services without an extreme cost to our clients. Also allowing us to provide competitive salaries for our staff including our Virtual Assistants whom compete against off-shore firms which provide discounted services at the expense of quality.
This creating a challenging environment, having to remove the distaste of bad experiences with off-shore discounted firms and building value for the product and service we deliver.
Our Virtual Assistants are independent contractors representing Silicon Staffing, and work under a variety of pay rates depending on experience and more importantly skill set. A small percentage is deducted from every hour billed.
In regards to full time positions, in most cases we do a direct hires, meaning that the final decisions regarding direct interviews and offer letters are made by the employers directly, which you can negotiate and if accepted you would be working directly for the employer and placed on their payroll. In this type of hiring process, the employers provide us a commission based fee when you accept an offer and we will never take a portion of your salary.
We receive over 2500 resumes annually which we individually evaluate to fill about 90 full time positions and dozens of part-time positions. The cost of screenings annually would be over $225,000 which would leave us unable to be profitable. For this reason we ask our applicants to conduct their own background screenings, which is tax deductible, and a small singular cost compared to a massive cost for us.
